08 Mar Chickpea flour Pizza
It’s the perfect pizza for those who don’t want or cannot eat gluten, besides, it is a vegetarian recipe, ideal for taking a break from meat. It has a lot of proteins due to the chickpeas, that’s why it’s an excellent option from all points of view.
2/3 cup of chickpea flour
1/2 cup of water
1/4 teaspoon of salt
Combine in a bowl the flour, water and salt, let the dough stand for 30 minutes at room temperature. You may add some herbs in the dough, like thyme, oregano or rosemary.
Grease a baking dish with oil and cook the dough 10 minutes at medium temperature or until it hardens a little; for a better result, turn the dough after 5 minutes for better cooking on both sides so as to obtain a crusty texture.
Remove from the oven and add the ingredients you like best for a pizza, put it back in the oven to complete its cooking. With a little bit of tomato sauce, cheese, fresh tomato slices and fresh basil leaves, you will have a delicious chickpea crust and a nutritive, gluten-free, delicious margarita pizza.
